Where do you learn the Song of Storms?

You learn it as an adult, but you need it as a child:

1. After you pull the Master Sword, go to Kakariko Village as adult Link.
2. Enter the windmill and talk to the man turning the music box.
3. Take out your ocarina. He grumbles about a kid who played a song here seven years ago and ruined the windmill, then plays that song: you learn the Song of Storms.
4. Return to the Temple of Time and go back to being a child.

The “kid” he is angry at is you. Once child Link plays the song in the windmill, the story loops.

What does the Song of Storms do?

• Drains the Kakariko well. As a child, play it in the windmill. The windmill spins faster, the well empties and the Bottom of the Well opens.
• Wins a Heart Piece from the frogs. As a child, stand on the log in Zora’s River and play it to the frogs for a Heart Piece.
• Opens a hidden grotto near Hyrule Castle. As a child, play it at the right spot in the Hyrule Castle grounds to open a hidden grotto with a Gold Skulltula.
• Calls a fairy at Gossip Stones. Play it next to a Gossip Stone and a fairy appears, so you can refill a bottle.
• Makes it rain anywhere outdoors.
