What does the Sun’s Song do?

  • Switches day and night. Play it outdoors to skip to sunrise or nightfall. Some characters, shops and Gold Skulltulas only appear at one time of day.
  • Freezes ReDeads and Gibdos. Play it near them and they stop moving for a few seconds, so their scream cannot grab you.
  • Helps with night-only tasks. Dampé’s gravedigging tour and many child-era Gold Skulltulas only happen at night.
  • Speeds up the Fire Arrows. As an adult, once the Water Temple has refilled Lake Hylia, shoot an arrow at the rising sun from the lake’s island. Play the Sun’s Song instead of waiting for dawn.
